Carol Ann Capaci, married to Pastor Eric Capaci for 36 years, is a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Together, they are blessed with five 5 children and seven grandchildren. Carol Ann and her husband initially served at Faith Baptist Church in Canoga Park, California, for two years with the youth. For the past 32 years, they have been serving at Gospel Light Baptist Church in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Throughout her life, Carol Ann has understood that her family is her first ministry. She supports women’s ministry in the church wholeheartedly and has led numerous Bible studies and small groups in her home over the past decade, including a group for single women. She also enjoys discipling women one-on-one. Carol Ann is passionate about encouraging women to deepen their faith and grow in their walk with Jesus.

Kristie Coghill is the pastor’s wife at New Life Church serving alongside her husband, Scott. They recently celebrated 24 years of marriage. She received a bachelor degree in Bible with a minor in missions and education from Southeastern FWB College. Her heart has always been for her family and she has loved investing in one of her greatest callings of being a wife and a mom to the “Fab 5". A teacher at heart, Kristie spends her time during the week teaching high school English classes and leading as a supervisor in the upper elementary classes at New Bern Christian Academy. She is a wonderful wife, mother, and mentor to ladies young and old. Kristie is most passionate about women’s discipleship, worship music, teaching, and kids ministry.

Scott Coghill is the lead pastor at New Life Church overseeing the church’s ministries for over 22 years. He also serves as the administrator of New Bern Christian Academy. Pastor Scott graduated from Southeastern FWB College with a BA in Bible and Pastoral Theology. He and his wife, Kristie have five children- Makenzie, Kelsie, Micah, Kaiden and Matthew. He loves everything to do with ministry, spending time with family, coaching, and pouring his life into people. Pastor Scott is a passionate preacher, sound teacher of God’s Word and faithfully delivers the Word every week in a practical way. His most significant contribution to men’s discipleship has been the founding of God’s Man Ministries hosting many annual men’s conferences across the country for nineteen years.

BJ Hamby has been married to her husband, Lance for 42 years. God has blessed them with two children and four grandchildren. BJ worked 31 years for Craven County Department of Social Services and also spent time serving at Vanguard Corporation. Her hobbies include hunting and fishing. She was born again in her late 20’s after living a “religious life”. Over the years BJ received a bachelors in Christian education and a masters in Christian counseling. After retirement from social services she has been serving as the teaching director for New Bern Community Bible Study for the past 7 years. She continues to impact her local community by serving as a board member on several committees that seek to help families.

Kevin Denton has served as a Worship Pastor and teacher for 25 years. He is married to Susan, and they have 2 children, Meghan (21) and Miles (19). The Denton family serves together every week in worship ministry at New Life Church, with a passion to see every generation love Christ and worship Him in every area of life.
